Welcome to 2020!  They say “the only thing that is permanent in this world is change” technology evolve from generation to generation and it was triggered by the demand of the society. We are creating waste a lot more now than ever before as new gadgets hit the market at an impossibly fastest rate. We are rapidly discarding  our old technology for the latest and greatest models. The problem is that we don’t know how to properly dispose what we have discarded.

When we talk about e-waste what does it really mean? According to what I have research it is:
“an electronic products that are unwanted, not working, and nearing or at the end of their “useful life.” Computers, televisions, VCRs, stereos, copiers, and fax machines are everyday electronic products.”

Technological advancement are just normal even when we have gadgets with us, we tend to wish for and to those who have money, would purchase the latest upgrades and newest versions. A lot of electronic devices that still works fine but didn't use it anymore since it is already obsolete. Some computer parts, technology parts are being used for recycling because they are somehow safe and probably “sayang”. But there are other devices that are very harmful to even used again.

Aside from the global crisis we are well aware of, the centered around plastics and other non-recyclable materials are our biggest problem in the community and even in the economy. Our nation has million worth of e-waste, (heard that some countries our sending their e-waste here). Electronic waste fall under the issue that deserves as much attention as the other waste types.

Informal processing of e waste can lead to adverse human health effects and environmental pollution. As items over time leak hazardous chemicals containing some form of toxic materials, which can contaminate our water supply especially the fresh water that we drink and even find their way to the air we breathe, lands that we step through and to all living things.

Overall, it may be said that it's a good thing that we go to the flow of the ever changing technology. But despite of the convenience which it has brought to us, unconsciously, we are situating risks to our soil, water, air, and even our life.
